EPIC (Executives Partnering to Invest in Children) developed its Family-Friendly Workplace Initiative to encourage employers to support working parents with dependents in ways that also attract and retain employees.
Through funding provided by the Essentials for Childhood project at Colorado's Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), the Family-Friendly Workplace Toolkit was developed to provide general guidelines for employers.
As an employer increases its commitment to family friendly practices, EPIC (Executives Partnering to Invest in Children) and Health Links (Colorado School of Public Health) created an on-line assessment as a resource and opportunity for continued education.
